Brick is one of the largest townships in Ocean County — a year-round community stretched between the Metedeconk River and Barnegat Bay, threaded together by Route 70, Brick Boulevard, and Hooper Avenue. It's commuter country: full schedules, family calendars, and not a lot of slack time to waste on a gym plan that isn't working.
That's exactly the person private coaching is built for — and Triumph is based here. Sessions run out of Lifters Lair Gym in Brick Township, and instead of a membership you pay for and quietly stop using, you get one coach, one plan built around your actual schedule, and a number that moves every week.
Coaching built for Brick schedules
Most people in Brick aren't short on gyms — the Route 70 corridor has plenty. What they're short on is a plan: something built around a commute, kids' practices, and the energy actually left at the end of a workday. A one-on-one block removes every decision except showing up.
Whether the goal is a body transformation, getting back in shape after years away, or learning to box properly, the starting point is the same — one conversation about your history, your goal, and the hours you really have.
What coaching looks like
- Private 1-on-1 personal training
One coach, one plan, measurable progress. No classes, no group pacing.
- Built in 6
The recommended first block — six weeks of coaching built around one clear goal.
- Exercise-science programming
Coached by Eric C. Lawes, M.S. in Exercise Science. Programming based on evidence, not trends.
- Boxing for fitness
Boxing used as training inside your private program — pads, bags, footwork and conditioning. No classes, no sparring, no contact.
Brick questions
- Do you coach people in Brick, NJ?
- Yes — Brick Township is home base. Sessions run out of Lifters Lair Gym at 325 Brick Blvd, private and one-on-one, scheduled around your week rather than a class timetable.
- Is Triumph a boxing gym in Brick?
- No. Triumph is private personal training. Boxing is used for fitness inside a one-on-one program — pads, bags, footwork and conditioning — with no classes, no sparring and no fight team. If you want a boxing gym with group classes, that's a different kind of room.
- I already have a gym membership in Brick. Is this different?
- Completely. A membership sells you access to a room; coaching gives you a plan, a coach who adjusts it every session, and measurable progress. Most people who come to private coaching have owned a membership for years without results to show for it.
- I haven't trained in years. Is that a problem?
- No — it's the most common starting point. The first session is an assessment and a conversation, not a punishment workout. The program starts where you actually are.
Start with one conversation.
Your history, your goal, your schedule — that's the whole first step. No pitch, no pressure.
