Questions about private training around Brick
What happens in a first private training session in Brick, NJ?
The first private training session is complimentary: no cost, no obligation, and no experience needed. It is built for beginners. Coach Eric assesses your goals, introduces the fundamentals, and gives you a real feel for what private one-on-one training with Triumph is like before you commit to anything. It runs out of Lifters Lair Gym in Brick Township, the same place every session after it happens. Bring your history, your goal, and the hours you actually have each week; that one conversation is the whole first step. From there the recommended next move is Built in 6, a six-week block written for you and coached in person.
Which towns around Brick does Triumph cover for private training?
Private training is based in Brick Township and serves Toms River, Point Pleasant, Lakewood and the surrounding Ocean and Monmouth County towns. The pages above cover fifteen of them: Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head and Mantoloking along the shore, Toms River to the south, Lakewood, Jackson and Howell inland, and Wall Township, Brielle, Manasquan, Sea Girt, Belmar and Spring Lake across the Manasquan River in Monmouth County. Every session runs out of Lifters Lair Gym in Brick Township, so a town page describes who gets coached from that town, not a second location. If your town is not listed and Brick is within reach, ask.
Is private training in Brick different from a gym membership?
Yes. A membership gives you a door code; a coach gives you a plan. Private training with Triumph is one coach, one plan and measurable progress, coached in person with no classes and no group pacing. Instead of a workout of the day and counting your own reps, you get a program built around your goal, your history and your schedule, adjusted every session by the coach standing next to you. Most people who come to private coaching have owned a membership for years without results to show for it. The difference is a number that moves every week and someone whose job is to move it.
What is Built in 6 for private training clients near Brick?
Built in 6 is a six-week functional program built around one clear goal, and it is the recommended first block for new private training clients. Week one is the baseline: assessment, movement screen and starting numbers on the board. Week two sets the foundation of positions, patterns and habits. Week three puts weight on the bar. Week four builds the engine with conditioning rounds. Week five sharpens speed, footwork and technique under fatigue. Week six is proof: retest everything and let the numbers tell the story. It is written for you and coached in person by Eric C. Lawes, M.S. in Exercise Science, and then you decide what gets built next.
Does private training in Brick include boxing?
Only as boxing for fitness inside your private one-on-one program. Boxing is used as training: pads, bags, footwork and conditioning rounds that build skill and the gas tank. There are no classes, no sparring, no contact and no fight team, and nobody has to put gloves on to train here. If you want boxing in your block, it starts from zero with stance, footwork and the basic punches on pads and bags, coached one-on-one. If you never want to box, your program simply does not include it. Private training leads; boxing is one of the tools, not the room.
